Job Description:

The Lead HRIS Analyst will serve as DTN's Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) expert, responsible for ongoing implementation, business process design, systems configuration, day-to-day operational support, reporting, and compliance. The individual in this role will own and consistently deliver application projects with a high level of quality and functionality that meets stakeholder requirements.

  • Partner with HR functional leads to understand their processes, needs, priorities, and future road map initiatives
  • Make recommendations on strategic direction and roadmap for the use and implementation of Workday, and third-party systems
  • Suggest and drive new functionality and enhancements; recommend best practices to ensure optimal use of Workday based on knowledge of DTN's processes and technology
  • Partner and ensure alignment with HR stakeholders during business process design, offering options, risks, and communicate downstream impacts related to decisions
  • Manage complex and cross-functional projects, partnering with business stakeholders, IT Project Management Office, HR, Finance, Legal, IT and Engineering to optimize and implement common practices across Workday HCM and Workday ERP
  • Lead all phases of system implementation as the Workday HCM functional expert, including business process discovery, design, configuration, and testing phases
  • Champion project management best practices with testing, validation, issue management, change management and communication
  • Manage Workday major release impact on configurations and integrations; identify risks and opportunities for enhancements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to analyze change requests and feature enhancements; complete system configuration requirements across multiple HCM modules; document requested enhancements and changes to business processes, workflows, and security
  • Prepare test plans and scripts; execute test scripts; oversees and supports user acceptance testing and training
  • Design and deliver Workday Reports and Dashboards to support business needs
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational support, maintenance, and compliance of Workday HCM, driving increased employee and manger self-service
  • Establish and manage SLAs and develop the user support process utilizing Workday Help, optimizing the employee experience
  • Provide second-level support for Workday HCM; identify and resolve tenant configuration, business process and/or integration issues while making recommendations for and implementing process improvements
  • Proactively maintain Workday data integrity through audits and queries; perform ongoing maintenance regarding tenant set-up, data updates (EIBs), business processes, and reporting
  • Own overall inventory of reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and/or workflow
  • Lead the development and maintenance of system documentation including business processes and procedures
  • Ensure user procedures, guidelines and training is developed and maintained
    • Degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
    • 7+ years business systems analyst experience, including 4+ years Workday experience
    • Strong Workday product knowledge within Workday HCM required
    • Significant hands-on experience with the configuration, implementation and maintenance of Workday systems (Workday Certification preferred)
    • Experience with configuration and support of various modules within Workday HCM
    • Workday implementation and integrations experience, preferred
    • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and requests simultaneously
    • Fluent communication skills in English (Verbal and Written)
    • Passionate interest in continuous learning and professional growth, particularly in the Human Capital Management discipline
    • Exceptional core Business Analyst skillset including process analysis, requirement gathering, process flow, development processes, user adoption and buy-in
    • Strong project management experience
    • Excellent communication, troubleshooting and documentation skills
    • Ability to translate business requirements to solution design
    • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be self-motivator and able to complete tasks with limited direction and/or guidance
