This is a .6 FTE (48 hours per 2 week pay period) position. This shift pattern is primarily a day/evening 8 hour shift with rotating 12 hour day weekend shifts. Currently the weekend rotation is every 5th weekend. There is no call during the week, but you would be expected to take call on the off shift when you work your weekend rotation. There is flexibility to work more evening shifts if desired. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).X-ray shifts will include Fluoro exams, c-arm cases in surgery, DEXA exams, ED/inpatients, Med/Surg/ICU and rotating to the Specialty Care Clinic for Imaging.ResponsibilitiesMaintains patient carePerforms examinationsIdentifies relevant data from images accuratelyCommunicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professionalParticipates in creating a culture of patient safety and demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparednessVerify patient identification and documentationCommunicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examAchieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocolEnsures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely mannerAccurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archivingParticipates as an active team memberOrients and mentors new employees and studentsParticipates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiativesResponsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for positionCleans and maintains rooms and suppliesCorrectly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelinesIdentifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properlyMaintains a high level of competencyAccepts new technology as its introduced into the facilityParticipates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendationsDemonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population servedDemonstrates Commitment to Customers, Fellow Employees and FairviewRequired QualificationsARRT Certification/RegistrationBasic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before date of hirePreferred Qualifications1 year experience as a technologistQualifications:$36.94-$53.35 Hourlyby Jobble
