Coordinator do?
- Assists in Planning, scheduling and conducting activities
programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and
spiritual opportunities for the residents.
- Attends community-planned functions and coordinates event from
beginning to end including setup, running, and breaking down for
the event.
- Assists in the mealtime support, helping to assure a homelike
atmosphere.
- Plan and conduct art programs, entertainment for special
events, weekly religious services and one-on-one special projects
as needed.
- Assist with preparing and distribution of calendar of events as
scheduled by the department.
- Distributes community newsletter. Meets with new residents to
introduce the program.
- Provides ongoing communication with residents and, as
necessary, family members.
- Keep art supplies, puzzles, games, magazines, books and other
items well-stocked and up-to-date
- Assists Director/Coordinator in leadership of wellness
program.
- Maintains a database and prepares reports on resident
assessments, participation and satisfaction.
- Interacts with residents, guests and staff in an atmosphere of
hospitality.
- Protects the privacy of the resident when communication oral
and written information.
- Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization
having overlapping roles and responsibilities. What we're looking
for from you:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent education,
training and experience. Degree/certification or education in
recreational activities/life enrichment preferred.
- Experience: One year of activities/life enrichment experience,
preferably working with seniors
- License: Must possess a current and valid driver's license and
clear driving record
- Tech-savvy: A familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
Acrobat and/or Adobe Reader
- Excellent Attitude: An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and
can-do attitude
- Superb Communication: Demonstrated excellent written and verbal
communication skills
- Team-work: Possess superb interpersonal and communication
skills and the ability to work well and collaboratively with team
members and external constituents
- Customer Service: Patience, flexibility and a willingness to go
above and beyond as needed to ensure the success of your team and
