The Rivers, an Independent, Assisting Living and Memory Care
community nestled into the River Hills community in Burnsville,

What does our Life Enrichment Coordinator do?
- - - - - - - - - Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with
scheduling and coordinating all resident activities on a monthly
basis.
- - - - - - - - - Assist with preparation and distribution of
weekly program contents.
- - - - - - - - - Assist with gathering information, articles, and
photos for newsletter.
- - - - - - - - - Assist with planning and coordinating special
events including events for seasonal holidays.
- - - - - - - - - Assist in planning and conducting arts program,
entertainment for special events, monthly birthday parties, group
games, weekly religious services and individual independent
projects that reflect the "Life Enrichment" activities.
- - - - - - - - - Assist the Director in maintaining an adequate
supply of books, puzzles, magazines and games.
- - - - - - - - - Assist the Director in training all staff on
activity-related programs.
- - - - - - - - - May be responsible for transporting residents to
appointments, as well as regular and special recreational
outings.
- - - - - - - - - Assist the Director in communicating information
to the Nursing department regarding activity ability changes in
status that may require resident Care Plan updates.
- - - - - - - - - Report all program policy/procedures
discrepancies to the Director of Life Enrichment.
- - - - - - - - - Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of
Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
- - - - - - - - - Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for from you:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent education, training
and experience
Experience: - One year of activities/life enrichment experience,
preferably working with seniors
License: Must possess a current and valid driver's license and
clear driving record
Tech-savvy: A familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
Acrobat and/or Adobe Reader
Excellent Attitude: - An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and
can-do attitude
Superb Communication: -Demonstrated excellent written and verbal
communication skills
Team-work: Possess superb interpersonal and communication skills
and the ability to work well and collaboratively with team members
and external constituents
Customer Service: - Patience, flexibility and a willingness to go
above and beyond as needed to ensure the success of your team and
care for residents of the community
