Job Description:
Partners In Excellence is a premier autism therapy center
providing autism therapy services to children ages 1-10 in a
healthcare setting. The Mental Health Professional is a dynamic,
individualized, and rewarding role within Partners In Excellence.
The Mental Health Professional is a position that focuses on
providing clinical services to children with Autism Spectrum
Disorder or other related conditions and their families within the
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program. The Mental Health
Professional is also a position that concentrates on providing
clinical supervision and supervisory support to all employees and
activities related to the ABA program. The Mission Statement and
Core Values of Partners In Excellence are areas that are
intertwined within this position.The Mental Health Professional
("MHP") provides general clinical services to children with Autism
Spectrum Disorders and their families served by Partners In
Excellence. The MHP provides supervision to all employees and
activities related to the delivery of services in the clinical
program. The MHP puts into practice the Mission Statement of
Partners In Excellence.+ Manage the clinical responsibilities in
accordance with the provisions of effective clinical practice and
the guidelines delineated by third party payer contracts.+ Ensures
that an appropriate clinical supervision schedule is in place for
each child that will meet the individual child's needs. This
includes, but is not limited to monthly progress reviews, parent
meetings, quarterly treatment plan evaluations, and six-month
authorization and progress meetings. + Provide training,
instruction, demonstration, and feedback to Program Supervisors
Senior Primary Behavior Therapists, Level 2 Behavior Therapists,
Primary Behavior Therapists, Behavior Therapists, BCaBAs and
BCBAs.+ Attend and participate in service area and professional
meetings. + Facilitate and document meetings with employees as
appropriate.+ Maintain confidentiality of the children and families
served by Partners according to professional ethical standards,
state and federal rules and regulations, and Partners' internal
policy and procedures. + Ensure that services delivered and
recommended by Partners are evidenced based and supported by peer
reviewed data-based research.+ Develops and maintains a systematic
data-based review of children served by evaluating changes on
standardized assessment instruments and from monthly progress
reviews, as well as from the ABLLS-R. + Conduct and/or oversee the
monthly and quarterly reviews of each child's progress using the
ITP goals as a benchmark, the ABLLS-R, or similar assessment
tools.+ Assist and direct the Clinical Teams in conducting pre,
post and on-going evaluations to determine the efficacy of the
child's treatment approaches in their respective service areas.+
Assist and direct the Clinical Teams in the packaging and
dissemination of the outcomes of the clinical programs.+ Supervises
functional analysis of all severe challenging behaviors (BRP). +
Supervises staff in reporting of Child Protection incidents.+ Refer
the children and families served to other community providers as
appropriate and necessary. + Supervise the Clinical Teams in the
preparation of agency-wide assessments of the children's progress
and parent and employee satisfaction assessments; present this data
to the Center Manager.+ Participate in team and clinical meetings
as requested, necessary, and appropriate. + Provide direct
demonstration of effective teaching and behavioral procedures to
the Clinical Teams.+ Communicate with the parents by phone, email,
and direct contact in order to understand and respond to their
concerns. + Accept and respond to employee and family grievances as
necessary. + Maintain a calendar of appointments, starting and
ending appointments as scheduled. + Return phone calls, mail, and
email correspondence in a timely and professional manner. + Ensure
that all members of the Clinical Team receive sufficient training
and overlap services. + Assist parents in researching and
understanding adjunct therapies and the potential impact on the
child. + Communicate effectively with the parent on the results of
assessments and evaluations and the possible need for discharge
from services in an ethical and responsible manner.+ Immediately
(within 24 hours) reports all incidents of suspected abuse or
neglect of any child or vulnerable adult according to Department of
Human Services Rules and Regulations and Partners In Excellence's
Policy and Procedure.+ Conducts and interprets semi-annual
assessments and ASD testing for site-specific Blue Cross Blue
Shield clients and their families; assessments and testing for
clients and families receiving other insurance occur annually as
needed. Subsequent reports will accompany the assessments.
Competence with the ADOS, CARS2, ABAS-II, SDQ, and ECSII are highly
recommended. Administer a semi-annual Family Satisfaction Survey. +
Coordinate services with additional service providers as collateral
information for each client's case.+ Other duties as
assignedRequired Education and Experience:+ Current Professional
License to provide services in the state in which they practice.+
Necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities to expand and solidify
their professional mental health competencies. + Competence and
skills in the use of technology to enhance the provision of
services. + Respectful and professional standards when discussing
employees and employee information with other Partners supervisory
staff.+ Able to follow and implement HIPAA Rules and Regulations,
state and federal confidentiality rules, and the privacy standards
as discussed below.+ Strong verbal and written communication
skills+ Ability to work with minimal supervision+ Strong team
player+ Must have proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word,
Excel, Power Point, Outlook for scheduling purposes,
email).Preferred Qualifications:+ Experience with Applied
