McLane Company is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mechanic II Nights to join our transportation team, contributing to our growing logistics and supply chain operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining our fleet of vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery. Operating from our strategic distribution centers, this position offers a unique opportunity to enhance vehicle performance and reliability, directly impacting our service quality and operational efficiency. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on a variety of vehicle types, specializing in heavy trucks. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and compliance checks according to company and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and vehicle conditions. Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule repairs and routine maintenance, minimizing operational disruptions. Stay updated on the latest industry technologies and apply best practices to maintenance procedures. Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic software and tools Strong practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy vehicles Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred but not required
