JOB SUMMARYThe Software Implementation Specialist supports the post-sales process for our document management solutions sales team for customers who require automated workflow solutions. Activities of this position include: building relationships with current customers and sales partners, deliver presentations and demonstrations to articulate features and differentiators of all Solutions software products, configure/customize document management systems within customer locations. The Software Implementation Specialist must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, presentation skills, and have enterprise software experience.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESConfigures content management systems, digital workflow processes, automated document capture and web forms to meet customer business needsDevelops and builds relationships with customers and sales teamsImproves customer's business workflow by use of business software offeringsHandles level 2 support issues as assigned, in a professional mannerDocuments all pertinent end user identification information, including name, company, contact information, and nature of problem or issueBuilds rapport and elicits problem details from customersPrioritizes incoming technical issues. Escalates issues (when required) to the appropriate technician or venderRecords, tracks, and documents the customer service request problem-solving process through to final resolution; including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions takenIdentifies and learns appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organizationPerforms hands-on fixes at the desktop and server level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applicationsCustomization of the software per the scope of work using built-in graphical user interfaces (GUI)Configuration of document capture processes that interface with desktop scanners, multi-function printers and POP/IMAP email servers including ExchangeTest fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolvedPerforms post-resolution follow-ups of support request ticketsEvaluates documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problemsHas open and continuous dialogue with customers and sales team on implementation and/or issuesOccasionally field incoming service requests from end users via telephone, e-mail, or customer ticket submission in a courteous mannerAbility to work occasionally during evenings and weekendsPerforms other duties as assignedMINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCECollege diploma in the field of computer science or 2 years equivalent work experience2 years' experience in a software programmer, technical support, or IT consulting role working with enterprise software solutionsPREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEUniversity degree in the field of computer science and 2 years equivalent work experienceWorking knowledge of document management systems, OCR and image capture technologies, and business processesExperience with SQL Server, JavaScript, C#.NET, HTMLPreferred Certifications:CompTIA Network+CompTIA A+CompTIA Security+ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSSuccessful experience communicating with IT executives, other line of business owners, and technical staffKnowledge of basic computer hardware, including PC's, printers, MFD's, laptops, tablets, cell phones, servers, network switches and infrastructureExperience with desktop and server operating systems and office applications through the latest versions, Unix/Linux/MacOSWorking knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilitiesGood understanding of the organization's goals and objectivesExceptional written and oral communication skillsExceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skillsStrong documentation skillsAbility to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as requiredAbility to absorb and retain information quicklyAbility to present ideas in user-friendly languageHighly self-motivated and directedKeen attention to detailProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentExceptional customer service orientationExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires driving occasionallyRequires a valid driver's licenseMaintains a good driving recordPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform this position.
