JOB SUMMARYThe Systems Administrator III role is to assist Support Center personnel in solving advanced technical problems, provide support and guidance in analysis and resolution of issues, develop and implement training and/or information that will enhance front line/first call resolution. The Systems Administrator III will handle incidents that require in depth and time intensive research, investigation and creative resolutions. This will require strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail plus efficient and effective time management.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy & Planningo Collaborates with management and department leaders to assess near and long-term Support Center needso Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to system configuration and designo Proactively improves processes and eliminate waste & inefficiencyo Performs root cause analysis on escalated tickets to ensure successful resolutiono Determines network capabilities and inform Sales team of possible project workTeam Leadershipo Leading and supporting a team to success in achieving company objectiveso Develops subordinates' skills and encourage growtho Provides direction and gain compliance of teamo Provides training to subordinates to improve overall Support Center knowledgeo Provides guidance to junior members of the teamTechnical Responsibilitieso Oversees new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades for client networkso Oversees and participates with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral deviceso Manages servers, including database, e-mail, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and softwareo Performs server and security audits, and system backups and recoveryOversees administration of systems maintained by the Systems team including Windows OS, Backup Systems, SAN, Exchange, File Servers, Print ServersProvides technical support and engineering support for Active Directory, group policy,DNS,DHCP, Windows ServerTroubleshoots escalated, severe infrastructure issuesMINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCECollege degree in computer science or related fieldThree years' experience in a front line IT support roleProven experience with network security principles, and general network management best practicesKnowledge of Active Directory, group policy, DNS, DHCP, and current Windows Server editions and current Microsft Exchange ServerPREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEUniversity degree in System Administration or related field5 years' experience in system administration as primary responsibilityProven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of system infrastructure including VMware, modern and supported Microsoft server operating systems, and SANsPreferred Certifications:CompTIA A+CompTIA Net+CompTIA Server+CompTIA Security+MCSAMCSEMCSA: SQLMCSA: ExchangeADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSExcellent hardware troubleshooting experienceCompetence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuitsGood understanding of the organization's goals and objectivesKnowledge of applicable data privacy practices and lawsStrong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsAble to conduct research into networking issues and products as requiredAbility to present ideas in user-friendly languageHighly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detailProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAble to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environmentStrong customer service orientationExperience working in a sales, team-oriented and collaborative environmentWORK ENVIRONMENT CLASSIFICATIONThis position is eligible for the Flexible Work Arrangement Program and may allow the employee to work from home on a part-time basis.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform this position.
