Overview:We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a driven
Athletic Trainer (AT) to work as a clinic coordinator in our
orthopedic clinic with sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. We
have approved this role for 80 hours every two weeks and is benefit

clinic the Orthopedic surgeons and Sports Medicine non operative
providers at our Burnsville Ridges Campus and Woodbury Woodwinds

lives of others.Responsibilities/Job Description:AT/Clinic
Coordinators are essential members of a multi-disciplinary team in
a hard working orthopedic and musculoskeletal clinic; this
individual is responsible for safe and effective direct delivery of
patient care including triage and coordination of care ranging from
patient evaluation, care delivery, reassessment and discharge
planning in collaboration with a physician. Care delivery
responsibilities include casting, bracing, and instruction in
self-care and home exercise programs.Obtain detailed subjective
history to support provider evaluationImplement discharge plan
which may include casting, splinting, DME fitting, patient
education and coordination to other health care providersPerform
rooming procedures, including acquiring vitals, performing
concussion evaluation, assisting with procedures and supporting
clinic quality initiativesEducate patient and/or family member in
self-care, including home exercise program instruction, under
supervision of a physicianCommunicate accurate follow-up care to
patients, family and any other medical support personnel in clinic,
via phone and in written formFacilitate urgent scheduling of
patient visits in coordination with scheduling staff to ensure
patients timely access while ensuring access for acute
injuriesSearch out opportunities to improve workflows by engaging
in change improvement and being passionate about the work
environment and our patient's
experienceQualifications:RequiredBachelor's Degree with
specialization in Athletic TrainingBoard of Certification Cert.
Athletic Trainer upon hireLicensed Athletic Trainer with the MN
Board of Medical Practice upon hireCurrent in
CPR/BLSPreferredMaster's DegreeExperience in an athletic training
environmentMembership of the National Athletic Training
AssociationCompletion of ImPACT Concussion CertificationOther
