Job Description Job description PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position is responsible for leading and providing personal care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the resident---s physical and emotional well-being for those residents living in our communities. This position supports the operations, mentorship and leadership of The Lodges Company with a focus on resident satisfaction, person-centered and individualzed care. The primary purose is to act in a leadership role by ensuring the community has outstanding customer service, assist with special projects, and problem solving for the team. QUALIFICATIONS: -- High School education and CNA/ NAR or HHA Certificate preferred. -- Experience in working with older adults. -- Must be able to lift 20lbs, stand, sit, or walk for long periods. -- Must be able to pass a criminal and/or abuse background check, and drug screening. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: This position requires the incumbent to: Possess a sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly. Lead and mentor staff members Demonstrate strong leadership skills Prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently. Possess skills to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and other customers. Possess the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and documentation, including medical terminology, in English. Be punctual with a good attendance record. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Understand how to use, carry and be responsible for the cell phone while on duty. -- Independent, problem solving skills to manage multiple properties and/or programs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & TASKS: JOB FUNCTION: Support and live out values and mission of Residential Care Management. Other tasks and functions include: -- Lead staff in resident care -- Assist with policy guidance -- Train and mentor staff members -- Conduct new hire training and orientation -- Assist with filling open shifts -- Filter information communicated from staff and residents -- Continued effort with team building -- L10 Support -- Follow ServeSafe guidelines -- Assist with interviews when needed POSITION CONTACTS: -- This position reports to and is supervised by the Assisted Living Director. -- Develop good working relationship with peers. -- Support the mission of The Lodges Company and establish good working relationships. -- Establish positive relationships with residents. -- Establish positive relationships with guests, vendors and surrounding community.
