Mayo Clinic, a leading nonprofit in integrated clinical practice, medical education, and research, is seeking a dedicated Lactation Consultant RN for our Family Birth Center. This role is pivotal in providing expert lactation guidance and support to new mothers, enhancing their abilities to breastfeed and ensuring both mother and newborn have the best start. Our ideal candidate will bring a compassionate approach to patient care, backed by strong clinical expertise in lactation services, and will contribute to our mission of delivering whole-person care to every individual in need of healing. Assess and create personalized lactation plans for mothers and infants. Provide hands-on lactation support and troubleshooting maternal and infant lactation difficulties. Educate mothers and families on breastfeeding techniques and benefits. Document patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes in electronic health records. Collaborate with medical staff to integrate lactation services with overall maternity and infant care. In-depth knowledge of breastfeeding techniques and lactation support. Excellent patient education and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
