a Surgery Oncology Physician Assistant – Make a Difference in
Cancer Care We are seeking a talented and dedicated Surgery
Oncology Physician Assistant (PA) to join our esteemed
Hepatobiliary (HPB) Program at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part
of the Allina Health Cancer Institute. This full-time, Monday
through Friday role offers the opportunity to work in a
leading-edge facility recognized for its clinical excellence,
compassionate care, and innovative approach to oncology. Your
expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by providing
comprehensive surgical oncology care in both inpatient and
outpatient settings, contributing to one of the most respected
cancer programs in the Twin Cities. Required Skills: Valid
Minnesota Physician Assistant license and certification Proven
experience in surgical oncology, preferably with a focus on
Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HPB) procedures Ability to work
independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills
Strong communication and patient education capabilities Ability to
handle both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities efficiently
Proficiency in interpreting medical diagnostics, prescribing
medications, and managing surgical pre- and post-operative care
Nice to Have Skills: Experience assisting in the operating room
(OR) including patient prepping, procedure assistance, and wound
management Familiarity with oncology nurse navigation and chronic
illness management Knowledge of healthcare coordination and
multidisciplinary team workflows Bilingual abilities or additional
language skills to support diverse patient populations Preferred
Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant
Studies or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical
oncology, with specialization in HPB procedures highly desired
Prior experience working in a hospital setting with rapid response
capabilities Other Requirements: MN licensure required for
immediate start Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with
flexibility to adapt to patient needs Willingness to participate in
cross-disciplinary collaboration and continuous learning Travel is
not typically required for this position This role offers a
competitive hourly pay rate of $129.68, along with comprehensive
