Job Description:
This person will be working in collaboration with the physician
group, the Physician Assistant will assess and treat patients, and
engage in independent decision making about their health care
needs.
We are open to this position being part-time or full-time.
Burnsville Family Physicians, P.A is an operating division of
Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health).
Essential Functions:
- Perform complete, detailed and accurate histories
- Review patient records to develop comprehensive medical status
reports
- Order laboratory, radiology and diagnostic studies appropriate
for complaint
- Complete physical examinations and record pertinent
data
- Interpret and evaluate patient data to determine patient
management and treatment
- Make medical diagnoses and institute therapy and/or
referrals
- Provide instruction and guidance regarding medical care matters
to patients
- Occasionally participate in community functions relating to
Burnsville Family Physicians outreach events throughout the
year
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
registration/license
- DEA registration
Essential Requirements:
Ability to:
- Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and
business ethics guidelines.
- Complete job required training.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA,
Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Work in the clinic, office or surgery center during business
hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery
center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent
bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of
time may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions
appropriately and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional
manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the
expectations of the daily operations
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Understand and execute a variety of instructions
- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate
the phone system
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
