SUMMARY:Handle customer service inquiries from new leads, patients, physicians and internal and external partners. Work to turn new leads into patients in a timely manner. Assist patients in understanding and acquiring surgical information and consultations with the provider and guide the patient through his/her entire journey. Use a CRM program to gather information and respond to questions. Document conversions and surgical track in a common database. Work with a team of clinical and marketing professionals to increase volume in a surgical spine clinic.Job Description: Answers phone, transfers calls to appropriate department, takes accurate messages and provides information concerning the clinics and its services. Maintains work area and patient areas in neat and orderly manner Pre-registers, verifies patient demographic and insurance information, instructs, directs and schedules patients. Schedules patient appointments following site or providers scheduling protocol. Notifies patients of pertinent visit information i.e.; co-pay reminders, clinic directions and appropriate check-in times. Demonstrates positive customer service and quality commitment skills through timely and courteous assistance of all phone calls. Serves as liaison between patient and medical support staff. Ability to convert leads into patients Scans document into the chart Verify Insurance eligibility Schedules patients per multiple provider/modality requests. Performs related work as required, which includes but is not restricted to various clerical tasks such as sorting and mailing other correspondence.Essential Job Functions: General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office and Internet, Microsoft Access experience preferred Excellent verbal presentation and communication skills Ability to handle challenging patients in a professional manner Ability to work with physicians and providers in relation to staff, clinic, or scheduling concerns. Serve as a liaison as needed between providers, staff and outside contacts. Represent Inspired Spine Health in a professional manner related to appearance, communication and the maintenance of patient and company confidentiality. Ability to effectively communicate and work efficiently with direct supervisor, administration, physicians, patients and staff. Ability to analyze work methods to effectively organize work, make improvements and correct problems. Supportive of the goals and objectives of Inspired Spine Health Excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment Learns quickly, solve problems and make decisions Team playerEQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Computer keyboard and monitor, scanner, writing utensils, telephone, copy machine,and fax machineRequirementsEducation/Training: High school diploma required. Health Information Management or Medical Assisting degree preferred.
