L3Harris Training Systems play a key role on delivering the L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions mantra of 'Creating Safer Skies'. From our computer-based solutions (CBT), Flat Panel Trainers (FPT) all the way to our state-of-the-art Full Flight Simulators (FFS), improving the training experiencing and creating safer skies is at the heart of everything we do. Our Fixed Training Devices (FTD) and FFS feature aircraft-specific flight decks, offering the form, fit, feel, and function of the actual aircraft. Our airline pilot training systems cover the complete training spectrum, whether its systems knowledge, procedure training or jet transition we have the solutions.

A Senior Manager Program Management is required to lead the largest contract based out of our Burnsville Office. This project is the focus point for this location for next 2 to 3 years that will enable the organization to change to meet the growth targets for the future.

It is therefore an exciting and pivotable role for a leader to make an impact in an organization and take it into the future. The role where success will enable a significant shift and provide a platform for an individual to grow their career and skillset.

The project will be diverse working with suppliers and resource both within the US and Internationally delivering to a major customer outside of the US. Therefore, international travel will be required to both their HQ as well as the multiple delivery locations worldwide.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Program management of the entire program including numerous sub-projects delivering all customer requirements and managing their expectation accordingly, thus, accountable for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Leads and works extensively with all functions including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and Support to ensure day to day delivery actions are executed in a timely manner.
  • Primary point of contact for the customer on all specific program leadership and issue management.
  • Program Status Management and Control including schedule, risk, change, resource and financial management.
  • ETC/EAC Review and Presentation to key business leadership Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study wtih a minimum of 12 years of relevent work experience or a graduarte degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
    • Proven working experience in project management, preferably within the Aviation or Defence industry in a company producing high value items with a blend of hardware and software specialists
    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience in requirements management, risk management, estimating, scheduling, peer reviews, financial controls and negotiating.
    • Exposure to modern computing software including windows office suite, ERP and planning software.
    • Demonstration of problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
    • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
    • International travel required
    • Project Management Professional certification such as APM, PMI, MSP, PRINCE II Project Manager top skills & proficiencies:
