Type:UnspecifiedThe Enablement Products Engineering Team in CAS is
seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead the development
of our Wireless and Edge Computing solutions. In this high
visibility role, the TPM will be responsible for leading integrated
product teams to develop new, advanced Connected Aviation smart
products. The TPM will be responsible for the overall design and
development of Wireless and Edge computing solutions in an Agile
Environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with
IoT product development and capable of driving tasks and medium to
large-scale projects to completion on time and on budget.Hybrid:
Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both
onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined
in partnership with your leader.Primary Responsibilities:+
Engineering lead within the Product Integrated Product Team (IPT),
working under the leadership of Value Stream Leadership (VSL) and
alongside the rest of the IPT (Business Development Contracts,
Finance, Service & Support, and Operations)+ Responsible for
building development roadmaps aligned with business priorities and
driving alignment across teams+ Reviews project and budget status
and aligns and manages schedules to meet customer and business
needs.+ Monitors the financial performance of the engineering
project and develops corrective action plans to address financial
performance gaps.+ Support VSL in communications of the program to
internal, external and leadership teams. These include (and not
limited to) the status of the program regularly, risks and
mitigations, and schedule changes.+ Supports CAS and other
strategic business units in defining plans and roadmaps for complex
programs to ensure that the organization's objectives and business
targets are achieved.+ Champion program management and Agile
methodology skills+ Work closely with product managers and
international resources to ensure that features maximize value to
customers.+ Work closely with the engineering teams domestically
and internationally to ensure that the right technical tradeoffs
are being made, software and hardware practices and other processes
are being followed, the right priorities are being addressed, and
progress is being made.+ Work with external teams to negotiate
incoming and outgoing dependencies. You act as the first point of
contact to reduce randomizations to the engineering team.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:+ Typically requires a University
Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced
Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in
absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience+ Five years of
relevant work experience in Technical Program and/or Product
Management or leading large scale and complex development projects
in an agile environmentPreferred Qualifications:+ Experience and
proficiency with web technologies and tools.+ Experience with
distributed computing and enterprise-wide system.+ Experience with
web technologies and SaaS platforms+ DO-178 / DO-254 / DO-160
experience+ Familiarity with Mesh networking technologies Collins
