L3Harris is seeking an individual who will be responsible for
providing support to the global Commercial Training Solutions
division by joining the Business Capture team, in a challenging
fast-paced environment. The Business Capture team collaborates with
every aspect of the business to create solutions and respond to
customer needs. You will gain insight and exposure to sales,
project management, finance, commercial, and marketing to name but
a few of the key functions with whom interactions occur daily.
Other key aspects include but not limited to developing and
authoring persuasive proposals, influencing key stakeholders,
presenting to senior managers to obtain approvals.
In addition to the day-to-day activities, the Proposal Manager will
participate in internal strategic initiatives to drive change and
continuous improvement. Other opportunities will be made available
increase organizational awareness.
Some travel may be required overseas.
Day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Accountable for commercial-off-the-shelf bids with minimal bespoke
technical solutions, value of up to $20 million.
Providing support to the Business Capture team with the preparation
of bids and proposals, including authoring responses to Request for
Leading the coordination of functional teams to review customer
requirements and ensure an accurate scope of effort for
Support Business Capture Team in Strategy Reviews for individual
Prepare and manage handover to contract delivery, on behalf of the
Business Capture Team, with key stakeholders, such as technical
teams, project management, customer support and sales account
executive for successful project launch.
Coordinate value focused solutions to meet customer requirements
with the relevant product owners
Support the governance process to obtain appropriate approvals in a
Maintain detailed records of all bids and proposals, including
keeping documentation up to date as required
Maintain high ethical standards and perform duties in accordance
with all company policies and procedures
Any other duties as required.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related
experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a
minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or
equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience.
2+ years' experience with proposal plans, schedule outline, and
compliance matrix for assigned pursuits.
Ability to understand customer specifications and correspondence
related to new systems requirements and organize the proposal to
address the requirements
Must be able to successfully lead a cross functional team comprised
of functional groups from program management, engineering,
manufacturing and support areas of the company to achieve
successful proposal development on schedule
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with
