R&D Project Engineer – Electrical serves as a central resource
for aligning electrical engineering teams and driving
standardization across Rosenbauer America. This role defines and
implements electrical engineering standards to improve efficiency,
documentation quality, and clarity. It provides exposure to all
Rosenbauer America products and involves collaboration with
Rosenbauer International to ensure global compatibility. In
addition to standards development, the engineer supports product
teams with technical and administrative tasks, contributing to both
innovation and operational excellence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All

Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and
do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the
performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a
given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the
business needs of Rosenbauer. Coordinate across multiple
engineering teams to define electrical engineering standards and
best practices, ensuring alignment and improved documentation
quality. Collaborate with Rosenbauer International to align
electrical engineering documentation standards and ensure
compatibility. Contribute to electrical engineering development
projects by reviewing technical documentation and standards,
researching solutions to design challenges, and implementing
approved designs. Assist the R&D Manager with administration
and optimization of engineering tools such as Confluence and Jira
to improve team efficiency. Create and maintain project and design
documentation, including project plans, monthly progress reports,
and project timelines. Prepares and presents project status
reports. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by
management to meet the needs of the company. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative
of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully
perform the essential functions of the job. Knowledge, Education,
and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or
equivalent related experience required. 3 years of related
electrical engineering experience required. Understanding of
electrical systems and automotive technology preferred. Experience
with schematic and harness software preferred. Knowledge of
firefighting processes and equipment preferred. Skills: Language:
Able to find, read, and interpret relevant scientific and technical
documentation and standards. Strong technical writing and
documentation skills. Able to facilitate engineering discussions by
listening, asking relevant questions, and suggesting solutions to
problems. Able to follow written and verbal directions and
communicate new information that could affect project trajectories.
Math: Basic math functions and accounting abilities with a high
aptitude for accuracy. Computer: Able to perform intermediate PC
functions including the use of spreadsheet tables and formulas.
Able to use electrical engineering schematic and harness software.
Abilities: Project management skills, including planning,
scheduling, and status reporting. Able to deal with problems
involving a variety of variables in non-standard situations. Strong
attention to detail. Able to understand and apply research
principles to smaller tasks or projects to make data-driven
decisions. Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering
to deadlines. Able to work with minimal supervision in a team
environment. Able to understand and follow all safety policies to
promote a safe working environment for all. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Driving- license x May need to travel overnight for meetings,
tradeshows, or visiting other Rosenbauer locations. Driving- Own

evenings and/or weekends occasionally x Overtime as needed to meet
