Job Description:
Description: PRIMARY DUTIES: ---Complete layout, design, and
documentation of complex designs and assemblies utilizing CAD
Equipment ---Assist engineers with design changes and
manufacturability exercising independent discretion ---Assign,
track, and review the work of designers & drafters; provide OJT as
needed to designers & drafters ---Develop and use best practices
relative to CAD modeling, drawing creation, and methods needed to
convey technical information to manufacturing and to suppliers;
enforce documentation & quality standards ---Communicate and work
with Supervisors, Peers, and Subordinates ---Manage one's own time
and the time of others for efficient completion of projects
---Motivate, develop, and direct designers and drafters as they
work, identifying the best individuals for the job ---Prepare
engineering designs using appropriate calculations, and convert
into technical documentation package. ---Monitors the status and
compliance of the project and keeps all participants informed
Utilize CAD to do design studies / analyses, research and
development, specification, configuration management, document
control, fabrication, assembly and simulation and modeling
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: ---Maintain operational records or records
systems ---Resolve operational performance problems ---Confer with
other personnel to resolve design or operational problems
---Develop technical methods or processes ---Design basic circuitry
and draft sketches for clarification of details and design
documentation under engineers' direction, using drafting
instruments or computer-aided design (CAD) equipment ---Build
prototypes from rough sketches or plans Skills: Mechanical Design,
Pro E, Creo, Engineer, Design Engineer, Aerospace Top Skills
Details: Mechanical Design, Pro E, Creo, Engineer Additional Skills
& Qualifications: Must have a BS in ME and a minimum of 2-5 years
experience Must have strong technical skills and solid
understanding of engineering practices such as form, fit, &
function; rules of interchangeability & tolerance stack-up analysis
in all phases of Mechanical Design Work effectively with
supervisors, peers, and subordinates and different personalities
Oral and written communication skills, including listening
