A full-semester contract opportunity is available for two Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a virtual academy setting. This role involves providing cross-categorical special education services entirely online, adapting to a growing program with flexible caseloads. Location: Eden Prairie, MN (Virtual Academy) Duration: Full Semester, ASAP through June 4, 2026 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Positions Available: 2 (VOCO SPED High School) Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to K-12 students with a range of disabilities in a virtual learning environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on best practices in special education Qualifications: Valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education with one or more of the following endorsements: Autism Spectrum Disorders Developmental Disabilities Early Childhood Special Education Emotional Behavioral Disorders Learning Disabilities Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional) Experience working with K-12 students across multiple disability categories preferred Ability to work effectively in a virtual education setting Strong communication and organizational skills Benefits: Gain experience working in a dynamic, growing virtual special education program Collaborate with skilled education professionals committed to student success Structured schedule with consistent hours This role is an excellent opportunity for educators seeking to apply their special education expertise in a flexible virtual environment with a reputable school district.
