Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years
Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An elementary school in
South Saint Paul, MN, is seeking an Intervener Substitute to
provide specialized 1:1 support for a first-grade student with dual
sensory impairments during a six-week leave coverage. This role is
crucial to maintaining the students established routines and
communication methods, ensuring continuous access to education and
personalized assistance during the primary interveners absence.
Location: South Saint Paul, Minnesota Position: Intervener
Substitute Duration: 6-week leave coverage, starting March 2, 2026
Schedule: MondayFriday, standard school-day hours Grade Level: 1st
Grade (Elementary) Required Experience & Qualifications: -
Bachelors degree required - Valid Short-Call Substitute License
(PELSB) - Prior experience as an Intervener preferred, with a
district preference - Experience supporting students with sensory
impairments, especially deafblindness - Proficiency in implementing
communication systems and sensory access strategies - Strong
collaboration skills to effectively work with classroom teachers,
related service providers, and the Student Services team Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver consistent, individualized 1:1 support
based on the students needs - Facilitate communication,
orientation, mobility, and access to the curriculum - Address
sensory, environmental, and safety needs to create a supportive
learning environment - Accurately document student observations and
progress as required by district policies - Ensure seamless
continuity of services during the primary interveners leave period
