Job Description:
Do you have 4+ years of experience as an administrative
assistant? Are you looking for a long contract role? THE RIGHT
STAFF is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our client in
Burnsville, MN. This is a CONTRACT position for 1 year.
JOB DUTIES OR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The job duties/essential functions of the position include, but are
not limited to the following:
Provides advanced level support to assigned departments, including
document revisions, preparation, and scheduling for meetings,
meeting minutes, organizing calendars, review of transit-related
articles, and weekly information gathering, organizing, and
delivery
Performs general office management including word processing and
clerical support (i.E., copy projects, mail distribution, etc.),
ordering agency-wide office supplies and business cards to ensure
cost-effective, efficient service, entering of Purchase Orders
(data entry), and archiving and organizing of office documents
Supports human resource functions, such as organizing and archiving
employee files and performing data entry
Assists with tracking of department-specific items
Performs other duties as assigned or as apparent
This position may encounter no public data in the course of these
duties. Any access to not public data should be strictly limited to
accessing the data that are necessary to perform the duties. While
data are being accessed, this position should take reasonable
measures to ensure the not public data are not accessed by
individuals without a work reason. Once the work reason to access
the data is reasonably finished, this position must properly store
the not public data.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able
to perform each job duty/essential function satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the formal
education, experience, and training required.
Education
High school diploma or GED certificate
Experience
Four (4) years of business administration experience
Training, Certificates, and Licenses
Advance training/experience in Microsoft Office Suite
General Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and proficiently at
all levels in the agency
Ability to be a flexible, effective team player, and provide the
best customer service to our internal and external customers
Ability to concisely document processes and issues
Ability to work proactively and independently and effectively
within a team structure
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and respond with a sense
of urgency
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired qualifications listed below are representative of the
formal education, experience, and training preferred to
exceptionally perform all the job duties/essential functions of
this position.
Education
High school diploma or GED certificate plus LCT or training at
vocational school, related on-the-job experience, or an associate
degree

HOURS, PAY and BENEFITS:
Contract (1 YEAR) with possibility to hire
On-Site
Burnsville, MN
Full-time
Monday - Friday
7 AM- 5 PM - Flexible start and end times
Pay: $ 25-35, depending on qualifications
